I suck at naming paintings.  I actually can't remember even drawing this thing.   I was cleaning out my files when I stumbled on an old sketch that was practically finished, so I decided to drop everything and finish it.  Fine outlines and masking and the whole nine yards

Words cannot describe what hell this particular piece was to paint.  From start to finish I struggled with everything about it (that;s probably why I quit the sketch and forgot about it).  By the end it became so tedious that I just wanted to shoot myself for even starting.  It got especially bad with the mandala, which is why I decided to just make it monochromatic.  Technically I didn't even paint it, really; I just went in and changed the colors of all of my masked layers so they weren't neon green.  But it turned out okay.

I did learn some very important lessons during the process of this painting.  No matter how bored you are with it, start with and finish the background.  Just do that damn thing and get it out of the way, since it helps you pick out the colors of the foreground object(s).  And in my case, do the mandala first.  In my earlier paintings I always did the mandala first and they always turned out better, so I need to get back into the habit of doing that instead of leaving them for last, which is when I usually want to die and get super sloppy.
